Rachel plays Soccer

Soccer season started 2 weeks ago, but we enrolled late and were out of town. So this past weekend was her first soccer session. It is from 8:30-9 AM on Saturdays. 4 kids in her class, 2 boys, 2 girls. She was NOT interested. In my mind "Great, what a waste of money". LOL It will take her some time as with anything, but it was funny. Every time we tried to get her engaged she would walk away. As you can see below she was more interested in picking sunflowers and eating. Oh Rachel...

So I will hold off with the title of "soccer mom" until my kid enjoys kicking the ball. At this rate we will get our moneys worth with Ryan filling in for her! I have many fond memories of the soccer field from when I played co-ed at YMCA, then again through middle school/highschool and giving a try at it in a Women s under 30 league. It is a great cardio workout! Ultimately our kids will participate in the activities they are interested in. They've got to try it and see what they like! If it were up to me it would be soccer, swimming, piano. If it were up to Justin it would be volleyball and any type of musical instrument.

However at this moment in time their interests are as follows:
Rachel - Sunflower Explorer, Bug/Mosquito Catcher
Ryan - Bubble Popper, Monster of pouring anything out of its container
