When we had Rachel we had to stay in the hospital an extra 2 days to give Rachel some phototherapy for her high bilurubin levels. I'm glad we didn't have to stay for Ryan. His levels were a little high, but not too concerning with a 6.6 level. However, the following day when he had his first pediatrician visit his level shot up to 15. And we have had to go everyday since then...including Saturday:( His poor feet have been pricked everyday to draw his blood and test his levels. They have continued to go up. Right now we wait and see if they go down. It's normal. You can see the yellow in his eyes and we put him out in some sunlight in hopes of bringing it down!
Below are pics of Ryan - sunbathing and at the doctor's office. They put a little heating pad on his foot so it's easy to draw blood from his tiny feet!
